Call Forwarding is a telecom feature that allows you to redirect incoming phone calls to another number. It’s useful when you’re unavailable, out of coverage, busy, or simply want someone else to handle your calls.
Types of Call Forwarding
- Unconditional Call Forwarding (CFU):
- Forwards all incoming calls directly to another number without ringing your phone.
- Example use: You’re out of town and want all calls to go to your assistant.
- Call Forwarding When Busy (CFB):
- Forwards calls only if your line is busy.
- Example use: You’re on another call and want calls to be redirected to voicemail or another number.
- Call Forwarding When Unanswered (CFNA):
- Forwards calls if you don’t answer within a specific number of rings.
- Example use: You’re away from your phone for a while.
- Call Forwarding When Not Reachable (CFNRc):
- Forwards calls when your phone is off or has no signal.
- Example use: Your battery died, and you want calls sent to another number.

How to Activate Call Forwarding
On Android:
- Settings > Calls > Call Forwarding (may vary slightly by phone or carrier)
- Choose the condition (Always forward, When busy, etc.)
- Enter the number to forward to.

- Charges: Some carriers charge for call forwarding, especially if forwarding to another network or international number.
- Voicemail: If forwarding to voicemail, ensure your voicemail is set up properly.
- Carrier-Specific: Some features may vary based on your mobile carrier or plan.
- Can be Disabled Anytime using the deactivation codes.
